Our integration with Novanta’s Firefly3D scan head got lots of attention because it is the first fully-integrated scan head with built-in quality assurance, bringing monitoring into the optical train as a standard, while enabling Sigma’s data analytics and quality assurance software. Learn more.
Our agreement to build connected in-process data software using the Dyndrite Application Development Kit also received positive attention. By expanding development of Printrite3D®’s visualization and analysis on Dyndrite’s Additive Developer Kit (ADK), users will have a single user experience for CAM, materials and process development, toolpath creation, and the resulting in-process quality data and analytics. This new solution marks Sigma’s connection to further cover the full quality value chain in additive manufacturing. Learn more.

Last month we also announced the release of a beta version of our PrintRite3D® Machine Health module, launching our software-only approach to quality assurance by allowing users to take disparate machine log files and standardize them. The solution is built on Sigma’s PrintRite3D monitoring and analytics technology and creates a framework for connecting and standardizing distinct sensors and images into a cohesive product suite. Click here if you are interested in benefiting from the beta program or want to learn more.

Continuing our intention to work with major additive suppliers, earlier this month we joined the EOS Developer Network (EDN) of EOS, a leading supplier for responsible manufacturing solutions via industrial 3D printing technology. This enables Sigma to provide software and analytics applications from EOS application programming interfaces (APIs). The EDN partner program streamlines services and tools to allow Sigma to expand its software offering via the EOS digital thread from data preparation, machine management, process data acquisition, and reporting.
And, as mentioned above, Sigma’s PrintRite3D® in-process quality assurance solution will be certified as PrintRite3D Ready to work with SLM’s industrial metal additive manufacturing, machines. The objective of the integration is for the companies to utilize SLM’s open architecture and SLM.Quality APIs to enable the integration of PrintRite3D, Sigma’s third-party agnostic quality assurance software and analytics solution.

If you are involved with the university, research, or government sectors of the additive industry, you will want to learn more about our AcGovDustrial Network. This network is designed to provide a platform for improving collaboration related to in-situ monitoring and real-time analysis for quality assurance, certification, and qualification of additively manufactured parts. Please join us and read the information sheet.
Stay tuned for our soon-to-be released Process Health Module – designed for image-based defect detection via Visual Camera and Thermal Camera. We are taking pre-orders and beta partner plans now, so feel free to join our collaborative partner program and/or product advisory councils where we aim to standardize in-process quality for the entire industry. Contact us here.
For more information about any of these opportunities, or if we can assist you in any way, please contact us at sales@SigmaAdditive.com.
On behalf of the entire Sigma Additive team, a very happy holidays to our customers and partners who make this all possible! As our production leader states in our weekly huddles, ”Be well, be safe, now let’s go and amaze the world“.
Best,
