About the Part Health Module

Part Health detects micro scale defects by observing the melt pool with on-axis photodiodes. Analysis capabilities for multi-laser systems, targeted defect analysis, and layer to layer connection filtering, offers deeper insight into the root causes of defects. Captured data is reconstructed into 2D and 3D visualizations of the entire build or individual parts for easy human interpretation, with detailed analysis through SPC charts and automated reports resulting in a pass/fail judgement. ​

Part Health complements CT scanning, making it a cost-effective solution for in-process quality inspection. Early intervention to non-compliance improves machine OEE and cuts down on the need for post-process inspection. Production qualification allows assigning acceptance criteria unique to specific builds and parts, ensuring the final components are safe and fit for intended use.
