Summer is on the horizon and things were definitely heating up at RAPID + TCT!…

Rapid + TCT 2023 Report
By Alex Benham
The RAPID + TCT Conference is always a highlight of our year. Held this year at Chicago’s McCormick Place convention center, the Sigma team showcased our PrintRite3DⓇ solution and how it contributes to machine, process, and part health. Our partner Novanta joined us in our booth to demonstrate several new production scan head features and show off their benefits to customers across the industry.

DyeMansion and EOS’s Wilson Airless Prototype Basketball
Created out of a partnership between Wilson Labs, General Lattice, EOS, and DyeMansion, this first of its kind 3D printed basketball featured digital foam printed by EOS and color and finishing by DyeMansion.
Dyndrite’s LPBF build showcase
We loved checking out Dyndrite’s display of programmatically created Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) builds using 3D printers from Aconity3D, EOS, Renishaw, and SLM Solutions.
DMG MORI’s new products – LASERTEC 30 SLM US and DED hybrid

DMG MORI’s powder bed and powder nozzle models are exciting new additions to the DMG MORI ecosystem. We especially love how the 30 SLM US was developed, manufactured, and assembled in the US!
Back at our own booth, our star of the show was our demonstration of sensor fusion using PrintRite3D. Check it out for yourself here:

We recorded using a visible camera, thermal camera, and melt pool to show PrintRite’s ability to create sensor fusion. (And if you’re curious about what we were printing–here it is)
